Hello! If you're reading this, thank you, as I am struggling like never before to write this. I was born in Long Beach, California, where I began my art education at Cal State Long Beach. CSULB was the most beautiful campus one could ever see. Soon after, I found myself with a need for new surroundings, and two years into Cal State, I moved to Texas and transferred to Texas State, San Marcos, where I met a different but equally beautiful scene. My love for both California and Texas is great. They both helped me become the person I am today, a middle-aged woman who can never make up her mind and has settled on the fact that I can't spend the rest of my life doing just one thing, and thus Joycie Makes Things was born. I like to make things like photos, drawings, and leather goods, and whatever else may come my way that interests me.
